THE BERLIN SERIES

Every painting is a conversation with itself first, and with whoever's standing in front of it. That was the premise I started with at home: marks talking to marks, a surface working something out in real time.

In Berlin, the conversation turned inward. I started paying attention to inner weather - the way a mind moves like tides, ten thousand thoughts pulling at you the same way invisible forces move through nature, unseen but never absent. As without, so within. And if the thinking doesn't stop - it never does - the only real choice is what you think about.
