The Threshold
The Threshold (2026) was a large-scale installation presented at Basement Gallery Adelaide, comprising suspended fabric, handmade lantern forms and chain. Raw and weathered textiles hung from above, pooling on the floor below, while a single illuminated form floated at the centre — warm light held inside fragile structure. The work explored the same territory as Harper's painted practice: atmosphere, accumulation, and the invisible forces that shape both landscape and interior life. Viewers moved through and around it, the work shifting with their position, never the same twice.
